A popular Blackburn motor group is set to transform its showroom into a star studded event for one night only.
The Hippo Motor Group, based in Trident Park, Trident Way, is an expert in all aspects of car leasing, finance and prestige motors, but on Friday, October 9th, the showroom will be stripped of cars as the company presents an ‘Evening of Hippo Humour’.The comedy event is being held to raise funds for Pendleside Hospice, as well as celebrating eight years in business.
Tom Preston, director at Hippo Motor Group, said: “Our showroom is the perfect location for an event of this kind; an informal, relaxed affair, to which we’ve invited family, friends, loyal customers, staff and local businesses and we’re expecting a good night all round.”Justin Moorhouse, of Phoenix Nights will be performing alongside comedian Pierre Novellie, singer Paul Dobie, and street magicians Ian's Close Up Magic and Magic Marc.
While the evening will no doubt be a barrel of laughs for all involved, the company is looking to raise a generous amount for Pendleside Hospice, a charity which promotes and enhances the quality of life for people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers.Christina Cope, from Pendleside Hospice said: “We can’t thank Hippo Motor Group enough for their support. It’s a great event which we’re excited to be a part of and one which will hopefully raise lots of money for the Hospice.”
Antony Anderson, marketing manager said: “This is the first big event that we’ve held in our showroom, so we’re really excited to see the transformation and all preparations are well underway." “We’re looking forward to welcoming our guests through the doors and reflect on our successes to date, but more importantly we’re looking forward to raising a lot of money for a great cause.”
