Lancashire-based supermarket chain Booths has agreed a deal which will see its branded meals and desserts stocked in Amazon Fresh stores in London.
The internet retailer recently opened its first physical store in London, making headlines for its AI-powered system which automatically charges customers for the goods they carry out of the store without the need to scan at a checkout.
Booths will be providing the stores in Ealing and Wembley Park with a mixture of chilled and ambient Booths brand products including a range of its own-label stir fries, ready meals, starters and sides as well as a selection of Booths brand cakes and desserts.
Nigel Murray, Booths chief operating officer, said: "We’re delighted to work with Amazon on this exciting new development in UK grocery.
"Booths has always been a Northern secret, but now our range of exceptional products will be available every day to a wider range of shoppers, both in Amazon Fresh stores and through Amazon Fresh online grocery delivery."
