AM Services completes strategic purchase

Morecambe-based facilities management business AM Services Group has purchased SLS Washroom Services.

SLS Washroom Services, based in Liverpool, was established in 2005 and had been family-owned and operated.

It provides washroom and waste disposal services to customers in Merseyside, Cheshire and parts of Wales. The deal enables AM Services Group to expand its washroom services presence in those areas.

Steve Handley, outgoing director of SLS, said: “Our focus was to provide a reliable, friendly and flexible service to small and medium size businesses who preferred not to deal with the large multinational companies that dominate the sector. We were keen to find a purchaser who would provide the same reliable, friendly and flexible service that we worked hard to provide.” Adrian Cresswell, managing director of AM Services Group, said: “It’s never easy for a company to give up its identity to another, especially when it has such a sense of local pride and reputation. We are certain that we will do the business and the people of Liverpool proud.”
