Paul Miller, CEO of Altius Group Limited, the UK’s leading group of business brokers, based in Lancashire, is using his love of football to support local charities.
For the entire 2023/24 football season, Altius has announced that its CEO will donate £100 per goal scored by Newcastle United in each of their Premier League, European matches, Carabao Cup and FA Cup matches to local charities.
All money raised will be equally shared between donations to the Newcastle Foodbank and Brian House Children’s Hospice based in Blackpool.
Born and raised in Newcastle, Paul is a lifelong fan of Newcastle United, travelling to all home and away matches from his home in Lancashire.
Paul recently returned from following the club across the USA. He said: “I really enjoyed the pre-season tour and was lucky enough to attend matches in New York, Atlanta and Philadelphia. I’m now eager for the new season to begin and really looking forward to travelling to Europe to follow the team in the Champions League this season.
“As CEO of a successful business, my philosophy is to give back to my local communities. Colleagues at Altius Group regularly raise funds to support charities and I wanted to make a personal contribution. Combining my love of Newcastle United with support for a Newcastle charity alongside support for a Lancashire charity where my business is based, felt like the right thing to do.”
Janet Atkins, corporate partnerships manager at Brian House, said: “We are so excited about our new partnership with Altius Group here at Brian House. We’re all keeping an eye on Newcastle United Football Club and we will be cheering them on from the hospice.”
Paul added: “Now, here’s hoping for a great season!”
