Alcedo Care Group is continuing its rapid expansion throughout Lancashire with a new office in Darwen.
The company has opened premises at Anchor Court on Commercial Road from where it will serve Darwen, Blackburn, Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall and surrounding areas.
Representing a £225,000 investment so far, the latest site opens with a dedicated team of four office staff and 20 carers responsible for delivering the company’s suite of personal care, support, companionship and nursing services.
However, the company is already looking to grow the new office and recruit a further 10 carers per month with the aim of delivering well over 1,000 weekly care hours across the region over the next 12 months.
Andy Boardman, managing director at Alcedo Care, said: "While we do already have some clients in the area, they are located just a little bit too far from our Preston or Bury offices, so a base in Darwen and Blackburn will be perfectly placed to help them and also others with care needs who wish to remain independent in their own homes.
"From both a client and recruitment perspective, the area is a perfect fit for us and we aim to expand further in the coming months.”
Cindy Cragg (pictured right) has been appointed manager of the new office in Darwen, working with Chelsea Bryans (pictured left) who has recently been promoted to service development manager for Alcedo in the Preston area.
The opening of Darwen and Blackburn brings the total number of Alcedo Care offices in the North West to 12 and complements the company’s existing bases in Southport, Blackpool, Preston, Lancaster, South Lakes, Liverpool, Chester, Wirral, Wigan, St Helens and Bury.
