Lancashire Adult Learning is working in partnership with the North West Ambulance Service to Promote Restart a Heart Day 2021.
Under the slogan “Restart a Heart Day and Learn to Save a Life”, the service aims to train as many people as possible across Lancashire in potentially life-saving skills on Thursday, October 14th.
The online session is just 30 minutes and will be delivered by qualified First Aid teachers via Zoom, 8pm to 8:30pm.
Sarah Bailey, Partnership and Recruitment Officer for Lancashire Adult Learning, said: “As COVID-19 is still prevalent among our communities, the steps people should take when performing CPR have changed - but the need to perform CPR has not.
“We felt that Restart a Heart Day 2021 was the perfect opportunity to highlight these changes while offering important skills.
“Whether you’ve learnt CPR before, or it is your first time, this online session provides an opportunity to learn how CPR guidance has changed during COVID-19 and gain the skills and confidence to help if someone collapses and stops breathing normally.”
“All you need is a tablet, laptop, PC or even phone and a link to the Zoom app provided. The session is just 30 minutes so doesn’t impact on attendees’ valuable time.”
