Administrators have been appointed at Nelson based Pendle Engineering following increasing financial difficulties.
All 55 staff remain employed and the company continues to trade as the joint administrators explore options for its future, including the possibility of a sale.
Announcing its appointment, FRP Advisory said Pendle Engineering had faced “increasing financial difficulties” due to the impact of rising input costs and supply chain inflation, which had ultimately led to it being called in.
Joint administrator David Willis, restructuring advisory partner at FRP, said: “Our appointment means the business can continue trading as we work through options and consider the prospect of a sale process to protect the future of Pendle Engineering Limited. We encourage any interested parties to come forward.”
Pendle Engineering is a family run business and is based on the Pendle Industrial Estate in Nelson.
It provides a range of engineering services from conception and design, through to manufacture and delivery, including laser cutting, fabrication and product finishing. It works in a range of sectors including defence and rail.
