A fantastic opportunity is on offer to engineering and construction employers, to experience immersive learning at Accrington & Rossendale College's Virtual Reality 360° lab, located at the Sandy Lane campus.
The immersive technology is very impressive, and is used on the college campus for lessons of all types. Because of the fully immersive 360° experience, the college can replicate locations in amazing detail - from a skyscraper in Dubai to a hospital ward, and many others in between.
The free course is an Introductory Course on the use of immersive spaces for engineering applications. At the cutting edge of learning methods, the three part course will include presentations in the 360Lab, class based workshops, opportunities for guests to bring their own models and be helped to develop them, and a session using Oculus Quest and its supporting software.
The three part course will be held between 6 and 9pm at the Sandy Lane campus in Accrington, BB5 2AR. It's completely free for attendees, and buffet food will be provided from 5.30pm. No previous experience is required, however some understanding of CAD and VR would be an advantage. The dates of the course are: 29th November, 6th December and 15th December 2022.
