Blackburn-based tissue products manufacturer Accrol has recorded its third consecutive year of revenue growth, up to £136.6m for the year ending April 30, 2021.
The figure represents a 16 per cent increase on like-for-like sales over the last two years. During that period, market share has grown from 12 per cent to 15.9 per cent.
However, the company, which has survived a turbulent few years, also posted a loss before tax of £2.6m, greater than the £1.9m loss the year prior.
Dan Wright, executive chairman of Accrol, said: "This is the third straight year of strong improvements across many aspects of the business. Gross margins have improved again, and the business is even better placed to take advantage of the planned growth of the discounters.
"Whilst there may yet be some further short-term fluctuations in demand, as the effects of the pandemic unwind, I am more excited for the future of this business than ever. The growth opportunities for the Group over the next two years remain very strong."
