GROWING: Blackburn based Accrol Papers is planning to expand after a successful trading year[/caption]
Blackburn based tissue company Accrol Papers has announced plans to expand in the new year after recording annual sales close to £120m in its full year results.
The company, which manufactures tissues, toilet rolls and kitchen rolls from its distribution centre in Roman Road, increased its revenue by 17 per cent to £118m in the last year and bosses are now looking to open a new site near Blackburn in January.
In April the business invested £3.2m on two high-speed converting lines, which followed a £6.6m investment in three high-speed lines the previous year.2016 has also seen Accrol Papers record a number of new contract wins including with Booker, worth £6.5m, and Poundstretcher, worth £5m.
