Blackburn-based paper products firm Accrol has appointed a new chief operating officer and an independent non-executive director as it attempts to reverse its fortunes.parting company with its chief financial officerissuing a profits warning in Marchaxed 89 jobssuspend trading of its shares.
The firm has blamed escalating costs and exchange rate troubles for its "major issues". The board hopes the two new appointments will be able to wind back the clock to when Accrol was announcing record sales and plotting expansion.
Gareth Jenkins, chief executive, said: "It is a statement of how much progress we have made that Accrol is able to attract an operational leader of Mark's capability. We look forward to the knowledge and operational experience he will bring to the business, as we continue to progress the turnaround and establish Accrol as the leader in the industry.
