AB InBev - which operates a brewery in Samlesbury - has posted bumper global financial results for the second quarter of 2019.
Worldwide revenue grew by 6.2 per cent up to $13.963bn, approximately £11.1bn. Markets with the strongest growth included Mexico, Brazil, Europe, South Africa, Nigeria, Australia and Colombia.
In the UK, the company's Corona and Bud Light brands both recorded double-digit volume sales. Budweiser enjoyed continued levels of strong sales, boosted in part by its association with Premier League football.
'No alcohol' beer continued to increase in popularity, with sales up 25 per cent over the previous year and Beck’s Blue holding the top seller's spot.
