Enterprise Europe Network North West (EENW) is hosting an information event about Horizon 2020, a €70bn research and development fund available to North West businesses, designed to create new growth and jobs in Europe.
The event will take place on 13 February 2014 from 12.30 until 17.00 at Lancaster University Management School, and will give delegates the opportunity to gain a better understanding of Horizon 2020, from speakers with extensive experience in EU funding participation.Speaking at the event is Eddie Townsend, collaboration delivery manager at ICT Knowledge Transfer Network, who has experience in achieving funding for partners and working with Brussels. Eddie will explain why North West SMEs should consider applying for funding.
He said: “It is important companies seek advice at this stage to ensure they do not miss out. It’s a great opportunity for SMEs that have developed a product or technology that could be applied to a different sector or market but don’t know how to start exploring the potential. We can help them make that idea a reality.”Fiona Castela, project co-ordinator at EENW said: “EENW is at the heart of the process and will assist small businesses that could potentially struggle to access this support by bringing them together with academic institutions, science parks or European partners that can work together to attract funding to bring the product or service to market.” To register for the event visit http://www.eventbrite.com/e/horizon-2020-tickets-10148441261?aff=rss
