The new £3.5m East Darwen link road, delivered by contractors Eric Wright Civil Engineering, has been officially opened.
Council leaders say Ellison Fold Way will boost the local economy and give businesses in the area better access to the M65 whilst also reducing traffic congestion.
The road was unveiled in a special ceremony attended by guests from the nearby Sudell Primary School along with Blackburn with Darwen councillors, contractors and representatives from the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
