The North West Society of Chartered Accountants (NWSCA) launch event, which gave local businesses an opportunity to meet the judges and find out more about the awards criteria, took place at Brockholes Visitor Centre.
During the event guests were encouraged to enter the awards, which take place at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool on Thursday, November 22. The black tie dinner, which aims to celebrate the region’s success stories will include a key note address from Olympian Roger Black.
Awards up for grabs on the night include: Accountancy Rising Star in Practice, sponsored by Norwest Recruit; Accountancy Rising Star Outside of Practice, sponsored by AFR Consulting and Accountancy Firm of the Year sponsored by Taylor Patterson.
This year’s event will also include two brand new categories which are: International Business of the Year, sponsored by Napthens Solicitors and FD of the Year, sponsored by Sage, in addition to the highly coveted RBS Business of the Year.
Les Nutter, president of the North West Society of Chartered Accountants, said: “The aim of this awards ceremony is to unearth the region’s most outstanding individuals and businesses and really celebrate their achievements. Inspired by the remarkable success stories we’ve witnessed in the Olympic and Paralympic Games we hope as many people as possible will enter our awards and share their own achievements with us.”
