A new £14m programme has launched which will boost the North West's green economic growth, establishing the region as a low carbon innovator.
ECO-I North West will work with more than 360 businesses across Lancashire, Liverpool City Region, Cumbria, Cheshire and Greater Manchester to support the research and development of low carbon technologies, products and services that will help drive a green economic recovery..
All sectors will benefit, but there will be particular focus on SMEs working within environmental industries, technology and services, future energy systems, advanced manufacturing and materials and chemistry.
