Family-owned Lancashire supermarket Booths has recorded more than £10m in sales over the Christmas week, marking a record high in the company's 169 year history.
Total sales over the three-week Christmas period (to January 7) were up 1.8 per cent, with like-for-like sales up 2.6 per cent - though this includes the Keswick store which was closed over Christmas 2015 due to flood damage.
