A £10.8m contract has been awarded to construction and property specialist Pochin's to develop a 165,000sq ft warehouse for BAE Systems in Lancashire.
The facility will be based at their Samlesbury site, which employs more than 4,000 staff, and will be the first major development in the Lancashire Enterprise Zone. Pochin's chief executive, Jim Nicholson, said: “We’re hugely proud to have secured yet another £10m contract, for one of the world’s largest defence contractors and one of the region’s biggest employers. This project will cement its future as a centre of innovation in the sector."
