On Wednesday 28 September the Challenge will be launched with the aim of local companies recruiting 100 new apprentices in 100 days.
Attendees to the launch event can learn from employers who have recently taken on apprentices, and from employers for whom apprentices are central to their business model. There will also be information about the costs, timescales and the next steps.
Special guests will include Paul Heathcote and Steve Broomhead, Chairman of Recycling Lives, and The National Apprenticeship Service and local training providers will be on hand with advice.
Partners in the project include North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, The Lancashire Evening Post, Lancashire County Council and Lancashire Work Based Learning Provider Network.
The event is on Wednesday 28 September from 5:30pm at the Marriott Hotel, Preston.
