Redefining Place Promotion with guest speaker Rachel McQueen
Never was there a stranger thing to do, switching from ‘visit Lancashire’ to ‘please stay home’, but as the county’s hospitality businesses were forced to close their doors, many devised imaginative ways to stay in the minds and hearts of their customers.
As we accelerated into re-opening and then put the brakes on again, delivering a coherent place promotion campaign has been hugely challenging, yet never more important. In this session Rachel McQueen, CEO of Marketing Lancashire will outline the thinking behind the #RedefiningLancashire campaign, its successes and limitations, and where we go from here.
About Rachel McQueen
Rachel was appointed to the role of Chief Executive of Marketing Lancashire in April 2018, having previously held the roles of Director of Tourism at Marketing Cheshire and Director of Marketing and Deputy CEO at Marketing Manchester.
