As current restrictions mean that our Sub36 events programme is on hold we have recently introduced our online Sub36 social events to continue our support of the Sub36 network with a platform to connect with peers and access the support you need during this time.
This series of events is an online version of our popular networking events which aim to be informal but informative, fun but with purpose and a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded professionals from across the county in all areas of business.
Join us on 12 August for the fourth Sub36 Social, our online networking event, featuring:
An interview with Mike Stevens, the BBC's political reporter for Lancashire, and the host of Sub36's events and awards since 2018.
Mike is the BBC’s political reporter for Lancashire. Starting life in the BBC as an apprentice aged 19, he has worked his way up to become a senior journalist and presenter.
Mike covers a diverse range of stories across TV, radio and online and recently won Young Journalist of the Year at the O2 Media Awards.
We'll also hear from Matt Robinson from Rosebud, the Sub36 Awards 2020 funding partner and Leah Hutchinson from Pendleside Hospice who won the Employee of the Year Award in 2019.
Former banker, Matt, is fund manager for the Rosebud Fund, a Lancashire County Council backed debt fund with the sole purpose of supporting growing Lancashire businesses. In the last 12 months, Matt oversaw £2m of new loans linked to the creation of 100+ jobs.
This online event will also give attendees:
- A chance to meet our other sponsors
- Opportunity to speak with a 30 second intro on how you could help those in the network (a select few attendees will be selected for this due to time restrictions)
- A chance to connect following the event as we put you in touch with each attendee directly
If you’re aged under 36 and would like to join us, register here now.
Upon registration we will ask all attendees to opt in or out of the following, we hope you will get involved with both:
- 30 second speaking opportunity
If you would like the opportunity to do a very quick intro on who you are and how you could support others in the network, please let us know in advance via the registration form. Please note due to time restraints, we can't offer this to all participants and we'll randomly select a small number of attendees to take part in this at each event - Sharing of your email address with other webinar participants
Following the webinar on 10 June we will be sending an email copying in all participants so that attendees can follow-up directly with any relevant contacts. As it’s ‘online networking’ this is our version of you meeting someone and taking their business card away to follow-up with later.
Sub36 Awards 2020 are now open for entries and nominations until 28 August. Please visit www.sub36.co.uk for full details now.
