As current restrictions mean that our Sub36 events programme is on hold we have recently introduced our online Sub36 social events to continue our support of the Sub36 network with a platform to connect with peers and access the support you need during this time.
This series of events is an online version of our popular networking events which aim to be informal but informative, fun but with purpose and a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded professionals from across the county in all areas of business.
Join us on June 10 for the next Sub36 Social, our online networking event, featuring an interview with Angelo Kornecki of AKORN Financial Advice, winner of the Sub36 Young Professional Award 2019.
Angelo has more than a decade of experience working in the finance sector. He began his career with a global banking firm before launching his own business in 2014, AKORN Financial Advice.
AKORN provide personal financial planning, wealth management, mortgage, equity release and insurance advice to clients all over the North West and beyond. A young entrepreneur with a young family, Angelo is embracing technology and digital services within the business to help provide expert advice to young professional clients that don’t always need the full extent of the traditional services they offer to their clients who are preparing for retirement.
He is also a fully qualified and experienced university lecturer and dedicates his time to the accounting and financial services degree programmes at the University Centre at Blackburn college.
We will also hear from Pauline Rigby of Forbes Solicitors, previous winner and judge of the Sub36 Awards.
Pauline is partner and head of corporate and restructuring at Forbes Solicitors. Back when the Sub36 Awards were known as Young 'Uns, she took home the Young ‘Un in Law award in 2015.
Since then she has supported the awards by encouraging colleagues to enter and she was also one of our independent judges in 2019.
Plus:
- A chance to meet our sponsors
- Opportunity to speak with a 30 second intro on how you could help those in the network (a select few attendees will be selected for this due to time restrictions)
- A chance to connect following the event as we put you in touch with each attendee directly
If you’re aged under 36 and would like to join us, register here now.
Upon registration we will ask all attendees to opt in or out of the following, we hope you will get involved with both:
- 30 second speaking opportunity
If you would like the opportunity to do a very quick intro on who you are and how you could support others in the network, please let us know in advance via the registration form. Please note due to time restraints, we can't offer this to all participants and we'll randomly select a small number of attendees to take part in this at each event - Sharing of your email address with other webinar participants
Following the webinar on 10 June we will be sending an email copying in all participants so that attendees can follow-up directly with any relevant contacts. As it’s ‘online networking’ this is our version of you meeting someone and taking their business card away to follow-up with later.
Please see below for future Sub36 Social dates:
Each event will follow a similar format but with different speakers, interviews and updates. do join us for just one, two or all of the events.
