Lancashire female leaders, business women and managers – we need your help!
International Women's Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action - whatever that looks like globally at a local level. But one thing is for sure, International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century - and continues to grow from strength to strength.
ththThe events are facilitated by Lancashire Actress Amy Strange and include mentoring, confidence building, debate and presentations. ‘Sparks’ will hopefully be ignited which will become a catalyst for change as the girls continue their education and consider their futures.
Caroline Rayner, associate at Baines Wilson explains, “When we heard about Role’s Oysters and Pearls events which bring together successful women with young girls who maybe need a little extra support, we were keen to ensure that students at Lancaster and Morecambe College did not miss out. We want our local girls to believe in themselves and find out first hand about the opportunities available for them in North Lancashire.”
