With only six months to go until Making Tax Digital takes effect, UK businesses are on a final countdown to comply with HMRC’s new legislation. Are you ready to start keeping digital records of your accounts?
Making Tax Digital ('MTD') for VAT is intended to make the UK tax system more streamlined and will impact affected businesses in a major way.
As part of the changes, businesses that are VAT registered and trading over the VAT registration limit on 1 April 2019 will be required to comply with new digital regulations.
Under the new rules, businesses must keep VAT records digitally and submit their VAT returns to HMRC through MTD compatible software.
It is vital that all affected businesses are aware of their obligations relating to these changes, and act now to ensure that they are compliant in time for the deadline.
To help you prepare for MTD, PM+M is hosting a FREE drop-in session in which you will be able to learn more about the following:
- Overview of Making Tax Digital
- Making Tax Digital for VAT
- What this means for your business and how we can help you
- MTD compatible software
- Digital records and Auto Entry
- Timelines
- Exemptions
- The action that you need to take now
At our drop-in session, you will also be given the opportunity to receive a demo of our MTD compatible software options with a member of our cloud accounting team.
