Course Overview
This half day masterclass on Contract Law will be suitable for all those new to procurement, sales and operations and will present attendees with key legal provisions, principles and concepts. Attention will be given throughout to the importance of compliance within the regulatory framework of statutes and common law.
This Contract Law masterclass will be delivered by staff from the University Centre at Blackburn College and will introduce:
• Essential elements of a contract
• Offer and Invitation to treat
• Termination of an offer
• Acceptance
• Intention to create legal relations
• Legal capacity to contract: minors, companies
• Privity
This masterclass will be delivered through group based discussions and tasks. At the end of the masterclass, delegates will be able to apply the general principles of a legally binding contract.
This masterclass is open to Lancashire-based SMEs in the Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing sector.
