Lancaster University's Innovation Catalyst programme for Lancashire Manufacturers will be holding a business focussed Innovation Day on the 8th of July at Accrington Stanley.
The day will be an opportunity for business leaders in manufacturing to come together and share Innovation ideas in a peer environment. Key themes might include Net Zero Carbon, Industrie 4.0, secure digitalisation and skills challenges.
The session will be facilitated by innovation experts from Lancaster University, and will include lunch (Lancaster University and Accrington Stanley always put on a great spread). The programme is fully funded as part of the government's Community Renewal Fund programme.
Taskforce
As well as the Innovation focus, attendees will also have the chance to meet with members of the Innovation Catalyst's Taskforce.
For the last 4 months, a group of public and private sector stakeholders have been meeting regularly to discuss what the county can do to better support manufacturers to grow in future. This workshop will give business leaders the chance to feedback on some of these ideas.
The idea of the catalyst programme is that through Peer to Peer Innovation led discussions an eco-system will come together for the benefit of all those businesses in the manufacturing supply chain.
