This FREE-TO-ATTEND morning event with networking lunch will help SMB’s to understand the emerging culture of cyber security, the value of their data (GDPR) and will empower them to build effective cyber security strategies to address these threats.

Gain insights into the techniques hackers use to access networks. “Cyber security extends beyond the firewall and traditional protection methods can often be ineffective as more and more modern threats emerge. Paul will show just how easy it is to become a victim of a data breach and will offer in-depth operational intelligence to identify intruders in minutes rather than months.

09.35 - Jamie Hoyle; Security from the other side.

Jamie Hoyle taught himself computer programming and now, age 20, is an executive at a technology firm. He speaks about how the industry is changing their security policies and attempting to adapt to ever-evolving threats.

11.00 - Jenny Radcliffe – AKA ‘The People Hacker’

Jenny is a force to be reckoned with. She can diffuse a crisis situation, talk her way into a secure building and spot a psychopath at a hundred paces. She has been called a mind reader and a ‘human lie detector’, and likened to a Jedi Knight. Jenny speaks, consults and trains people in the skills of “people hacking” and explains how “Social Engineering” using psychological methods can be a huge threat to organisations of all sizes

11.45 - CYFOR; Digital forensics and Cyber Security - Understanding & Responding to Cybercrime.

Keith Cottenden, has 30 years’ experience in cyber security and digital forensics. He has presented at hundreds of national and international conferences and is frequently quoted in the media. He has featured on the BBC’s Panorama and Rip-Off Britain series as well as Sky News.

12.15 – NBCC; Overview of the new National Business Crime Centre.

PC Daphne Wisbey is a Metropolitan Police officer since 1993. Daphne has specialised in crime prevention, problem solving, high-risk conflict resolution and work place mediation. PC Wisbey will outline the role of the newly formed National Business Crime Centre and the plans it has to support businesses in tackling crime with the help of the Home Office transformation funding.
