Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Affiniti Training are delighted to bring you this TWO Day FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid For Mental Health in the workplace (RQF)
This two day course trains your employees as Mental Health First Aiders, giving them:
An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of a range of mental health issues
Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress using the Mental Health First Aid action plan
Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support - whether through self-help resources, internal support such as EAP, or external sources such as their GP
An understanding of how to keep themselves safe while performing their duties
Format
Two day face-to-face course being held on Wednesday 9th February 2022 and Thursday 10th February 2022 from 9am - 5pm each day. Lunch and refreshments will be provided
Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities
Each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace
We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn

Certification
A Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.
