Investors are being invited to an event in Lancashire with expert advice on how to reduce their tax bills.
It’s being organised by Acumen, a Burscough based Independent Financial Adviser (IFA), and features speakers from leading venture capitalists Octopus Investments and Praetura Ventures.
Daniel Frampton FPFS, from Acumen Financial Partnership said: “We’re thrilled to not only be able to hold an in person event again but also to call on speakers with such valuable insight and knowledge about potential investment opportunities for our existing and prospective clients.
“It’s aimed at people who may already have built a considerable pension pot and are worried about being charged a lifetime allowance tax or even worried about the impact of inheritance tax.
“But it will also be of interest to owners of private businesses who may be thinking about selling.”
Dave Foreman, managing director, Praetura Ventures, said: “Praetura want to change the way we approach early-stage venture capital in the North and beyond. We’ve grown a reputation for being a supporting and proactive investor who provides more than money to our advisers, investors and founders.
“Our approach means we can help founders build the best business they can, mitigate risks with our operational support and maximise returns for investors. This event gives us an opportunity to explain how we can help people take a more strategic view as part of an investment and tax strategy.”
Octopus Ventures are one of Europe’s most experienced venture capital investment teams and have built a reputation for backing innovative businesses that have gone on to be household names, including Cazoo and Zoopla.
Colin Bramhall from Octopus Investments said: "We work with investors and businesses across a range of sectors with a focus on offering opportunities for those looking for either tax efficient growth or income or both.”
The event takes place on Wednesday 11th May at Lancashire Manor Hotel in Skelmersdale.
