26 companies join hospice challenge

Representatives from each of the companies were invited to a launch event and given a first look at a new café within the Blackburn-based hospice, which provides a range of services for patients with life-limiting illnesses in Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley

“The list of companies has everything from large manufacturers to sole traders to retail outlets to high street names. To have so many businesses so engaged with the hospice is wonderful and their support not only ensures our sustainability, it helps us to spread the word throughout our community about the special way of caring we provide.”

For the last six months, work has been taking place at the Park Lee Road Hospice, transforming the space into a modern, welcoming space for visitors and patients.

East Lancashire Hospice has a 10-bed inpatient unit offering pain management and end-of-life care to people from Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.
